Community Engagement and Maintenance Initiative

Notice to Members: Community Engagement and Maintenance Initiative

To maintain and improve the clubhouse and grounds, it’s time to shift expectations within HWCA. A Community Engagement and Maintenance Initiative was introduced at the AGM on Friday, June 26, 2026. Rather than relying solely on the board, we’re encouraging members to take part in keeping our property clean, functional, and welcoming. Sharing the responsibility will help us respond more quickly to ongoing needs.

More community involvement will help us:

• Reduce pressure on the board

• Keep the clubhouse and grounds in better condition

• Encourage ownership and teamwork

• Help maintain property value and enjoyment

Please take a moment to complete the Volunteer Sheet below to let us know which areas you’d like to help with (organizing, cleaning, purging, gardening, weed control, and more).

A Message from the HWCA Board of Directors

A Message from the Huron Woods Community Association Board of Directors

On June 30th we will begin emailing 2026 Membership invoices to active Huron Woods Community Association members who own developed and/or undeveloped properties.

The annual membership fees will be the same as last year ($250/developed property, $125/undeveloped property).  If you own multiple properties,  you will receive one invoice per property.  Please do not remit any payments before being invoiced.

With our change in accounting systems this year, please watch for your invoice(s) coming from this email address:

Huron Woods Community Association <quickbooks@notification.intuit.com>

You may need to check your email Spam/Junk folder depending on your email system if it does not go directly to your Inbox.  As in the past, you will also need Adobe Acrobat reader to open your Invoice PDF file.

Please remit your payment after you receive your invoice(s) by etransfer if possible.  Cheques if needed can be dropped off at the lockbox on the outside lower level of the Clubhouse, or mailed to the Clubhouse address which is on the invoice.

Invoices are due when received, and we appreciate prompt payment to avoid our volunteers needing to do follow-ups.  Your etransfer confirmation from your bank will serve as your receipt for payment.  If you pay by cheque, your cancelled cheque will serve as your receipt for payment.

Please be sure to write your invoice number(s), your name, and your property address in the notes field when you submit your etransfer through your bank.  This assists us with matching payments to properties correctly.

Kind regards,

Huron Woods Community Association Board of Directors.

Deep Sadness…

“It is with deep sadness that I forward you my son’s obituary for distribution to the HWCA community. Many community members supported our efforts in the fall to create opportunities for making memories with Alistair and we will forever be grateful for their generosity. Please find the link to the obituary attached.”
