On Saturday, August 9th the HWCA Corn Roast was held at the Clubhouse. In spite of the hot weather, a higher than expected turnout arrived ready to enjoy a day filled with fun games, good food, and lots of laughs. The mood was set with colourful decor, you just knew it was gonna be a good day.
The kids program was a blast! The adult games were challenging and enjoyed by many. By suppertime, the Clubhouse was abuzz with chatter and laughter. Everyone was ready to enjoy a good meal.
Thanks to the many volunteers for your hard work and dedication. Great appreciation to all of those who helped with the set up, who husked the corn, the game organizers, the children’s program leaders, to those who prepped the meal, the cooks, the servers, and the cleanup crew. You made it a wonderful day!
It was indeed a wonderful day. What a fabulous team effort to prepare a sensational community event. Paul, Miriam and myself are deeply appreciative!!
