Clubhouse Care – Please?!

A reminder to everyone using the Clubhouse, whether a private function, a weekly get together or those just popping in to use the restrooms:
PLEASE leave the Clubhouse as you found it (or maybe even a little better). We ALL need to show pride of ownership and leave the Clubhouse clean and tidy.
Recently, taps and fans were found running when no one was inside. It shouldn’t be the responsibility of volunteers to be constantly checking and then rectifying problems.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to keep the Clubhouse in good condition.

  1. And remember to lock the door when leaving. A number of times in the past two months I arrived to find the Clubhouse unlocked and nobody around.

  2. On a number of occasions I’ve found the kids’ play area in the basement a mess. The last time I had my grandkids there I needed to wash the coffee table as there was bingo dabber paint all over it. As well toys and games were strewn around.

  3. And to reinforce… no one wants your garbage. Take the simple step of removing the plastic liners kindly provided in the disposals… and take your leftover pizza, bottles… home to your trash can. The clubhouse remains a beautiful place… supported by the volunteer board and funded by membership fees. Guests of members shouldn’t assume… Cleaners are readily available to clean up after them.

  4. It is a shame that is happening to our Clubhouse.
It is a privilege to use it.
Are renters allowed access to the facility?
Clubhouse members should be cautioned about letting people in behind them when they open door if you don’t know them.
Clubhouse and Tennis Court codes should be kept confidential.

  5. One more reminder: HWCA rules state that no children under the age of 18 are to be left unattended at the Club House. Please take notice.

  6. WRT to comment from Paul Romanson I believe that Renters should not have access to this facility and if this is not the policy I suggest it be put forward as a motion at next Board meeting.
