Security Guards Beach o’ Pines

Beach o’ Pines is bringing in an extra guard this weekend to do some patrolling at the beach paths and possibly the beach itself. There have been concerns raised by BOP members about people coming in from outside BOP/Huron Woods and using the beach. The security guard should give a better sense of how many people this may be over a few weekends.

Nothing should change although people may see a guard in different areas asking them where they are from. Giving the guard your Huron Woods address is all that’s expected if asked.

  1. Yes I have seen unfamiliar faces lately.
,not that I know everyone, but they looked like they do not live in bop or Huron woods .

  2. An access identity card may be required at some point or an app for your phone?

  3. Should have a list of residents names and addresses
It’s easy to look at a street and make up an address

  4. We all have deeded access to the beach . I find it preposterous to reveal my personal information to a total stranger. It is not only dangerous but also it is an offensive invasion of privacy and harassment.
I have been a resident of HW for 38 years and will most vehemently object to such requirement.
I also think it is ill advised for HW to instruct our members to follow this course of action.
I certainly hope that any personal information about HW members was not shared and will not be for this or any other purpose.
I hope that we are not sharing any costs for the guards.

  5. Give a inch and they will take a mile and before we know it were squeezed out of our
    own playground.
I give full credit to those seeking a solution before if gets worse.
