Big Bin Day is Saturday, September 25th starting at 9:00 am. Our usual Big Bin Day community volunteers, Linda Seyler, Bill Redhead, Leo Bax, Doug Graham, Clare Schantz, Goeff Beasley and Bob Foote are ready to assist you. We will be open until Noon unless all bins are full earlier.
While it is likely the majority of us will be fully vaccinated by then, for the safety of our volunteers and yourselves we request you wear a mask in the Clubhouse parking lot. Thanks in advance.
For efficiency in getting you in and out of the parking lot, please print your name and address on a large piece of paper that can be held up to your vehicle window at the parking lot entrance. This will allow our host, Linda, to check our “paid up” membership list and track attendance. Two vehicles at a time will be admitted. If you have not paid your membership dues yet, please send an etransfer to treasurer@hwca.ca or place a cheque in the locked mailbox near the door on the lower Clubhouse deck.
Items we cannot accept are:
* Large appliances,
* Yard waste (brush, and stuff that normally goes in bags for municipal pickup or is taken to Forest),
* Unused paint (take it to RONA for free disposal),
* Toxic waste or flammables (propane tanks, paint thinners, batteries, etc.),
* Electronic waste (take it to Northville or Forest).
Thanks for your cooperation. See you on the 25th!
Joe Mayo
Would a used microwave be acceptable for the bin? Thanks.
