I have been in conversation with Grant Simons the President of the Beach O’ Pines Community Association. The following are excerpts of our conversations and emails regarding a Netflix movie location.
10030 Huron Drive will be the location of a Netflix movie shoot that will be filmed from approximately June 1st to mid July. Netflix has agreed that production and employee vehicles will not be parked on BOP roads and the cast and crew will be brought into BOP by a shuttle to minimize traffic.
During the filming period there will be enhanced security at the main gate 24/7 and occasionally at the cuts leading to the beach. Huron Woods residents, their friends and families will continue to have access to the beach, but Grant has asked us not to congregate near the movie location. The intent of the security is to restrict those individuals that do not belong. Security will be challenging for BOP. Please be cooperative and show BOP what good neighbours we are.
For movie buffs, the actors still remain a secret but Grant has given us a “sneak peek” of the movie synopsis.
A family moves into their dream home, but must contend with an Artificial Intelligence entity named Ivy. The AI is designed to make their lives easier, but in the end the family must unite to overcome Ivy.Note: the film is a thriller with a PG – 13 rating. There is no gory or bloody violence, or nudity.I hope to see it when the movie is released.
