Public Skating
The Public Skating schedules have been posted. Please note the start dates for each arena is different. Enjoy!

Partners In Learning – October 30 – November 27
Technology – Mondays – 12:00pm – 1:15pm – The word technology makes some of us wince because there is much to love and much to fear. Join us to look for a reasonable compromise. Presentations not required. – Details.
Heroes – Mondays 2:00 – 4:00 pm – Who are Canada’s heroes? Who are yours? This course will examine the heroes who contributed to the Canadian identity as well as the heroes you admire. Presentations optional.  – Details

Grand Bend & Area Horticultural Society Meeting – October 30
The Grand Bend Horticultural Society will meet at the Grand Bend Legion on Monday, October 30 at 7pm. There will be a presentation by Lambton Shores “Communities in Bloom”.

Sunset Cinema Presents… – November 2
Manchester by the Sea – A critically acclaimed drama about a man who must face his painful past when he returns to his Massachusetts hometown after the sudden death of his brother. Starring Academy Award actor Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams and Kyle Chandler.
Films are shown in the Community Room of the Grand Bend & Area Community Health Centre.
Grand Bend Women’s Probus Meeting – November 14 – Details
The Grand Bend Women’s Probus will meet at 9:30am at the Grand Bend Legion. Please bring mug, as coffee/tea will be supplied. Come & enjoy talented speakers and friendship each month.

6th Annual Forest Film Festival
(Fall & Winter) – November 15 & 20 – Details
November 15  & 20 – Their Finest – A former secretary, newly appointed as a scriptwriter for propaganda films, joins the cast and crew of a major production while the Blitz rages around them. Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy. Weekend-long event with local downtown businesses in Grand Bend, Forest & St. Joseph decorated for Christmas. Get a start on your Christmas list and enjoy seasonal atmosphere and special sales and giveaways!

Grand Bend Area Holiday Home Tour – November 17-19
Tour five homes beautifully decorated for the holidays by local designers. In addition, there are several destinations to visit for your holiday shopping, dining and entertaining pleasure. Santa Lights Up Grand Bend – November 17 – Details
The Jingle Bell Group presents Santa Lights Up Grand Bend on Friday, November 17 starting at 5:30pm at Grand Bend’s Optimist Park (corner of 81 Crescent and Gill Road).
Visit with Santa – Jamie Baldwin: The Skateboard Fiddler – Carols with Huron Shores United Church Choir – Hot Chocolate and Cider – Free Hume Horse and Carriage Rides – The is a FREE event…everyone is welcome!

Caring Quilters of Lambton Shores
We are a quilting group dedicated to making comfort quilts for volunteers who distribute them to victims of tragic circumstances through Sarnia Lambton Victim Services. We meet every Wednesday throughout the year from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Port Franks Community Centre, 9997 Port Franks Rd. We invite you to come and see what we do and maybe in the process become a volunteer yourself.

Dunes Duplicate Bridge
The Community Centre at Port Franks, 9997 Port Franks Road, is the home of our duplicate bridge club. We host ACBL sanctioned games on Wednesday and Friday afternoons. Both games start at 12:45pm.  Coffee and goodies are available. Everyone is welcome. Please call Michael Alderson at 519-245-3879 for more information or email dunesbridge@bell.net.

Grand Bend Golden Agers
Weekly activities that take place at the Grand Bend Legion include:
    •    Shuffleboard (see the Grand Bend Shuffle Club)

Grand Bend Shuffle Club
The Grand Bend Shuffle Club is looking for new members.  Shuffling take place at Grand Bend Legion, 20 Municipal Drive, Grand Bend on Mondays and Thursdays at 10am. All equipment supplied.  For additional information contact Eric Brown 519-238-1583.

Activities are organized by the Port Franks Seniors Actions Club and take place at the Port Franks Community Centre, 9997 Port Franks Rd.  A complete schedule is posted on the bulletin board at the community centre.
