Last fall, my son Alistair was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ewing Sarcoma and has been undergoing chemotherapy for the last year. Approximately 3 weeks ago we received the results of his most recent CT scan, which revealed that 2nd line chemotherapy treatment is no longer keeping the cancer at bay. His prognosis has been downgraded from curative to terminal.
I was informed today that a couple of my close friends and colleagues started a fundraising campaign that launched today. The funds will be used for medical costs, alternative life extending treatments and even life experiences that will allow us to make memories with him.
