It’s come to our attention that a couple of individuals have been seen looking in windows and checking out homes in the area. The police have been notified and will be investigating.

In the meantime, please stay alert to any suspicious activity, and make sure to lock your doors and vehicles.

We live in a great community, and we look out for our neighbours!

Grab your yarn – we’re back

Calling all ladies from Huron Woods. Our Stitch and Bitch group will be resuming our Wednesday afternoon get-togethers on September 23. We are a fun group of ladies who get together weekly to knit, crochet, hand sew or just chat and socialize. No skills needed, just a desire to make friends with new folks. We welcome both our “old faithfuls” and any interested newbies. We meet at 1:30  until about 3:30 and would love to see your smiling faces!

Several teams have completed volunteer work at the clubhouse based on the response to our AGM handouts. Sincere thanks to everyone who came out to help.

The gardening team included Cindy and Pete Watts, Laura Marsh, Barb Smits, Dawn Goulbourn, and Debra and Bob Schimmel.

The indoor kitchen organization team included Judy Steeper, Rosemary and Bill Redhead, Gail Buss, Vera Lawrie, Mary Anne Henry, Pat Thacker, Mary White, and Don Hill.

Beyond the kitchen team, Don Hill and Bill Redhead have put in major hours on the clubhouse, both outside and inside, over the past three months.

It’s through the continued work of volunteers like these that we can keep upgrading our beautiful community clubhouse.
