Last summer, with the capable leadership of Paul Seagrave and Ken Weido, and the support of many in the Plan 711 homeowners group in Huron Woods, an amicable settlement was reached that confirmed permission as is granted in Plan 711 deeds, for Huron Woods Plan 711 residents to use the emergency right of way connecting Red Pine Road and Pinedale Road through the Beach Of Pines community.

This lengthy process required Paul and Ken to contribute a great deal of patience, time and negotiating skills to attempt an out of court agreement. In the end, a court order was financially assisted by many in the Plan 711 group, The efficiency of the court proceedings was reflected in the balance of $!,216.24 from the legal fees. A vote overwhelmingly supported the donation of this balance of money to HWCA for the purchase of a defibrillator for the clubhouse.

The Board of Directors of HWCA extends deep gratitude to Paul, Ken and Plan 711 residents for this thoughtful donation. The defibrillator has been installed, the donation has been applied, and training has been conducted. We now have the security of having this equipment readily available, although we hope we will never have to use it.

Once again, our association came together to resolve a challenge that needed the collective efforts of caring association members. Thank you!
