The Municipality of Lambton Shores has informed the HWCA Board of Directors that
By-law 16-2008 and By-law 60-2008 have been amended.
IT IS NOW AN OFFENSE TO SELL, IGNITE or RELEASE a FLYING LANTERN.
The definition of a Flying Lantern per the by-law is as follows:
“Flying Lantern” means a small hot air balloon or other device designed to carry an open flame as an airborne light, also know as sky lanterns, Chinese lanterns, kongming lantern, wish lantern, sky candle & fire balloon.
